Success!
The project was an awesome success! Thanks to all the hard work of every member in
our group the vision we all had at the start of the semester was seen through better than
anticipated. Our tabling day was eventful but I think my group and I can agree came out to an overall success as well. We were reserved for 2:30pm – 4:30pm on May 1st 2025 at a table near the Sierra tower. Throughout the session we noticed that we barely missed the busy hours of campus life as there were very few students walking past our table. However thanks to our team’s resourceful thinking we just decided to ditch the table and walk toward more active locations around campus to spread the word of our project. That decision alone allowed us to give out far more of our Cap Cards.
Personal Progress
Past the tabling day, I feel I’ve progressed in many aspects of 3D modeling throughout
the semester. For example, since the last Dev Log, I had to learn an entirely new program to see through the vision our team had for the project, and let me tell you, it was fun yet challenging. I appreciate all the flexibility my team had with my schedule this semester as it was tough to manage my time and needing to squeeze in having to learn a new program outside of CSUN, Blender. Now that I’m past the learning curve, I am extremely happy to have pushed myself to learn the new program as it’ll definitely help diversify my portfolio.

Within the project itself, I noticed the scene that showcased the graduation stage that I
had created was a bit dry and had no heart. I felt it needed an aspect the user would be excited to go to this screen and with the help Kevlynn we realized adding chairs and a walkway could be a great addition. This addition I feel was imperative to the enticement of the scene because seeing just a stage wouldn’t evoke any emotional connection, but with chairs the user now can imagine the perspective of being at the graduation ceremony, sitting and watching from relatively the same distance in real life. The sound choice by the team and the visual effects/animations added by Ayon and Tray was the cherry on top that I feel like completed the transition of that lackluster scene to an enjoyable, quiet “imaginative” experience that the user would cherish and reminisce to.
