Making 400 Cards

As can be seen from other blog posts, our group delegated tasks to optimize the process of making 400 more graduation cards. We had to poke a hole through the black cards with a pin, make it large enough to put the tassel through, and center the sticker over the other side of the card. I was tasked with looping the tassels through the small holes of the black cards, which seemed to be the most hated task amongst the group.

Reservations

After making all of the cards I went ahead and created our final project deadline, May 1st. This is when our team will hand out cards to students. I made an online reservation for May 1st from 2:30-4:30PM at Sierra Tower, a perfect date before the end of the semester and closest to graduation.

Commencement Video

I also took lead in creating a video reel of our project for the Community Engagement Awards video. I gathered pictures of all of our work thus far and took some demo footage of the initial part of our Hoverlay project.

Particle Effects

For some final touches to our AR project, our team decided to have particle effects of both sticky notes falling in our sticky note scene and red confetti falling in any scenes that need some extra detail. I got a free asset from unity that made a beautiful falling particle effect. I replaced their image with my own, one with a sticky note and another of red confetti. I exported these and tested them in my own Hoverlay scenes. There was an issue with getting them to work in our final Hoverlay project so I had to make the particle effects a second time and test them but gladly they then worked.

Script

Lastly I augmented our last tabling script to fit our final tabling demonstration and handout. This is simply a way for our group to have a neat understanding of our goal for the last demonstration rather than just handing out the cards.
