GradFest Poster Drafts
For the first part of our project, we are developing an augmented reality (AR) experience for
Grad-Fest. This includes creating various designs for a poster that will introduce Hovelay
and feature a QR code linked to our graduation experience. Below are our initial drafts.
Final Poster
As Grad-Fest approaches on March 12-13, we are finalizing our poster with the help of
Professor Leister to ensure it is ready for the big commencement. However, the poster that
was printed is extremely creased, and we will need to have a new one printed before
Grad-Fest. Here is our completed poster, and we hope to present an unblemished version
soon.
Graduation Cards
Over the past week, we have been busy creating our graduation cards, which are designed
to resemble graduation caps with tassels. Each card features a QR code that we made in
the form of stickers. Here are our completed cards. We plan to use a few of them to
showcase at Grad-Fest in order to gather feedback from fellow students.
Style Guide
In the past few days, we have been developing a style guide that outlines the elements of
our AR graduation project. This guide includes details such as the color palette that will be
used throughout the experience, as well as the design of the buttons that users will interact
with to navigate between scenes. However, we are going to wait for more cameras to be
available since all cameras have been checked out by other students at the moment.

Camera Equipment
Our group’s next step is to check out a 360 camera and a monopod from the Creative
Maker Studio. This will allow us to start filming the locations that will be featured in the
Iconic CSUN Landmarks section of our AR experience.
